After receiving amazing applications from social enterprises across the country, Hub Australia is proud to announce the winners of our 2021 Flexi Impact Program.

Each is one of Australia’s best purpose-driven businesses and will receive a Hub membership to one of our locations in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, or Adelaide. Each membership provides access to our community, workspaces, and benefits to help them continue to grow their impact in 2021.

Sydney’s Flexi Impact Members:

SheEO

SheEO is a radically generous community supporting women and nonbinary people, using an ecosystem-based model to dramatically improve outcomes for women entrepreneurs, helping women and nonbinary people show up as customers, advisors, network connections, and funders of revenue-generating, women-led businesses working on the World’s To-Do List.

Life Changing Experiences Foundation

LCEF offers youth support and education programs for young girls who have experienced trauma and abuse or come from disadvantaged low socio-economic circumstances.

Key Into Australia Inc

Key into Australia is a support network for new migrant women in Australia. Women’s experiences of settlement and relocation are particularly challenging and they face significant barriers to employment.

Naru Indigenous Corporation

Naru Indigenous Corporation are passionate about creating opportunities and supporting ATSI young people in the direction of wellbeing and good lifestyle choices. We host a number of ‘Gatherings’ that we use to fundraise for partners such as Black Dog Institute, Manam Girrilma Guyunggan Womens Elders Group,  and the Thirrili Organisation.

Primer is a digital media publication that provides quality journalism and make a difference in women’s lives by delivering 50% of profits to women’s organisations.

DevDas

DevDAS is a design house for international aid and development, working in the Asia-Pacific region and aiming to bring developing country designs and solutions to life.

trace

trace empowers everyone to take climate action through simple, reliable, and rewarding carbon offsetting solutions, allowing customers to trace where their money goes and watch their impact grow over time.

trace helps climate-conscious individuals, employees and consumer brands measure and offset their carbon footprint through high integrity projects around the world that reduce CO2, restore biodiversity, and support the UN Sustainable Development goals.

Soulgen

Soulgen’s mission is to provide consultancy and training to the public sector and local government on how to harness young people’s and diverse communities’ assets to inspire active citizenship for social impact.

Violet Co

Violet Co is a legal and consulting practice changing the world with and for women & Indigenous peoples. They work with businesses, universities, government, not-for-profit organisations, and individuals, focusing on finding solutions and making an impact by blending legal and consulting services, advice, and representation.

Raisely

Raisely is a fundraising platform that helps charities raise more money online by giving them beautiful, fully editable fundraising websites for free. It also allows organisations to manage and message their donors, match donations, gameify fundraising, and much more, empowering them in their purpose-driven work.

MyMuse Australia

MyMuse is a social enterprise startup helping businesses throughout Australia understand and manage cancer in the workplace.

By training and educating leadership teams and management of medium-large businesses through bespoke programs MyMuse helps organisations support employees with cancer or employees that are carers, through their cancer journey and beyond, including providing proactive and on-the spot solutions for companies.

WORK180 is a SaaS marketplace – their purpose is to empower every woman to choose a workplace where they can thrive, achieved by connecting women with best-practice employers screened against equality criteria.

Road to Refuge

Road to Refuge is on a mission to change the national conversation on seeking refuge and asylum. We work with refugees and people seeking asylum to determine the national narrative and work to create a society that includes, respects, and values the diversity of our individual identities and experiences.

Our work is divided into three pillars:

  1. Refugee storytellers have the knowledge, skills, and networks to share their stories at scale;
  2. Refugee voices are amplified across all platforms;
  3. Institutions where stories are shared represent the diversity of refugee experiences in all facets of their work.

The Epicurean Collective

The Epicurean Collective operates a customer loyalty and rewards program for the Australian wine industry, alongside Australia’s first wine industry-dedicated charity, ‘VINE AID’, a partnership with TEC and Rural Aid established to support rural farmers with mental illness and general personal hardship.

spur:org exists to make it easier for Australians to take action to get mental health assistance, with projects focussing on reducing loneliness and social isolation (especially for older Australians).

ygap is an international development organisation that supports early-stage social impact ventures with locally-led solutions to local problems. 

They believe in the power of entrepreneurship as an effective and sustainable way to provide opportunities for people to lift themselves out of poverty and disadvantage, and work to find, accelerate, and support the growth of impact ventures led by local entrepreneurs who understand the unique challenges of their communities and are best placed to develop solutions.

Halad to Health

“Halad” means an offering in the Bisayan language – Halad to Health is an Australian charity closing the gap in global health inequality by delivering free health education programs in rural Philippines.

AbilityMade

AbilityMade uses technology to develop innovative products to promote mobility and accessibility for children living with disabilities using 3D scanning and modelling technology to manufacture custom-made ankle-foot orthoses (AFOs), allowing children with physical disabilities to walk independently.

Cultivating Community

Cultivating Community works with diverse and low-income communities to create resilient, fair, and secure food systems, aiming to inspire a healthy and just world.

Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN)

NMC is a 100% Aboriginal owned and run consultancy firm, offering finance and supply chain management for Aboriginal businesses and working to build the cultural capability and capacity of Australian workplaces to design and lead social Indigenous practice.

Strong Brother Strong Sister

Strong Brother, Strong Sister is a culturally safe place for Aboriginal young people to access and thrive. The structure and programs within the space guide, mentor, and empower Aboriginal young people to achieve excellence and improve Aboriginal young people’s health and wellbeing.

Same Way Nation is an Indigenous-owned and managed boutique consultancy, with Directors drawing on their culture and business experience to provide consultancy services to the arts, entertainment, and events industry.

Envirogrid enables industries to embrace clean energy and participate in the emerging hydrogen economy, whilst saving on high costs of energy. They consult with industrial company leaders to determine if a “green microgrid” solution is feasible and what technologies can be implemented.

YogaKids Training Academy

YogaKids recognise the stressors kids and teens face, working to bring the benefits of yoga and mindfulness into their lives, creating age appropriate classes by training yoga and meditation teachers throughout Australia.

Brisbane’s Flexi Impact Members:

Kalinya communications was established to amplify Indigenous voices and share positive stories, with a focus of working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander entrepreneurs to grow purpose-based businesses. Kalinya is currently working with over 100 businesses across Australia.

Eveity

Eveity’s helps government, private sector, and startups overcome policy and regulatory challenges, with a focus on natural capital, resilience planning, and circular economy in Australia and the Pacific.

Swoop Aero

Swoop Aero was founded to transform the way the world moves essential supplies by making access to the air seamless. Swoop Aero integrates air transport using drones into the first and last mile of the health supply chain to make healthcare available everywhere.
