Hub Australia

10th December 2018

5 min. read

December is traditionally a time of gift-giving and scrambling to find the perfect something for the special people in your life.

As the world’s mindset shifts towards being sustainable, many people now give donations and support charities and not-for-profits instead of buying physical gifts for people.

As the largest Australian owned coworking space, Hub Australia is home to many amazing NFP’s and charities working to improve the world, whether it be through providing healthcare to indigenous Australians or supporting global entrepreneurs in developing countries.

We’ve compiled a list of some of the amazing NFP’s working in Hub Australia’s coworking spaces – all very worthy causes you can support this December, and meaningful gifts to give to your loved ones.

The Wateryardthe wateryard

It’s one of the most common gifts, but giving wine is a classic win every year!

The Wateryard is a social enterprise, established with the goal of utilising Australia’s world-leading wine industry as an instrument to fund impactful social projects in remote Australia.

In Australia more than 2/3 of all outback communities rely on contaminated and untreated drinking water – all The Wateryard’s profits are invested directly, funding clean water initiatives for those who need it most.
