Our new partnership with Femmé Organic, a brand redefining period care through sustainability, transparency, and empowerment, is the start of new era at Hub. We believe the spaces we create are more than workplaces. They are communities where ideas flourish, wellbeing is prioritised, and meaningful partnerships grow. This is why we have partnered with Femmé Organic, a brand perfectly aligning with our values.
We spoke with co-founder Anabelle Burns to hear more about the journey behind Femmé Organic, their mission, and how their values align with Hub’s purpose.
From Conversation to Creation
Anabelle explains that the idea for Femmé began during the COVID-19 pandemic. “I started questioning what I was putting in and on my body. Over dinner one night, my brother and I talked about the hidden plastics in period care and the waste from tampon wrappers. That conversation sparked Femmé Organic.” Their CottonLock™ tampons and plastic-free pads are designed to be kind to both the body and the planet, challenging the mainstream industry’s focus on profit over awareness.
Family at the Core
Femmé is a family-run business, and that shapes how they operate. “Titles and email signatures fall away when you’re building real relationships. That human approach guides every collaboration, conversation, and decision we make,” Annabelle says.
Normalising Conversations and Shaping Culture
The mission extends beyond products. Femmé encourages conversations about periods and sustainability. “Every time someone chooses our products or finds us online, they discover a better way. The more informed people are, the more they challenge old narratives. Stigma fades, awareness grows, and change happens.”
Why Hub Works
Anabelle describes Hub as a space where ideas can breathe. “It’s creative, connected, intentional, and calm, inspiring conversation and collaboration without forcing it.” The partnership allows Femmé to put sustainable, organic period care directly into the hands of Hub members, sparking discussions that go beyond the bathroom.
Everyday Impact
Femmé reaches hundreds of Hub members daily, and Anabelle hopes people take away the value of intentional choices. “Period care can be beautiful, thoughtful, and sustainable. Small, conscious choices add up, and I hope members feel proud supporting a family business fighting for better care for the next generation.”
Creating a Culture of Support
Periods can still be taboo, but visibility and language matter. “Stocking period products openly in bathrooms sends a clear message: periods are normal. When brands speak honestly and workplaces treat period care as part of everyday wellbeing, people feel respected, supported, and seen.”
Purpose-Driven Growth
Impact, to Femmé, is about leaving things better than you found them. “Creating products that are better for the body and the planet, and sparking conversations that leave people informed and empowered, is meaningful impact,” Anabelle says.
For emerging founders, her advice is simple. “Hold onto the ‘why’ you started, but be open to evolving the ‘how’. Take feedback, experiment, and keep moving forward, even when it’s uncomfortable. Celebrate the small wins. That is what fuels the journey.”
Grounded in Gratitude
Anabelle also shares a daily ritual that keeps her centred. “Every morning, I fill in my mindfulness journal. Acknowledging what you’re grateful for sets a positive mindset that carries into everything you do.”
