How Hub’s Flexi Impact Program Has Helped Purpose-Driven Businesses

Find out what our 2019 Flexi Impact cohort has learned and gained since joining the program at the start of the year, receiving a 12-month membership designed to help purpose-driven businesses grow and succeed!

With the 2020 program accepting applications until November 30th, now is the perfect time for businesses in Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, and Adelaide looking to make a difference to apply for a complimentary Hub Australia membership.

New connections for Flexi Impact members

One of the best parts of being in a coworking space like Hub Australia is joining a community of motivated businesses and entrepreneurs. Our Flexi Impact members made the most of our community and events, with many participating in presentation opportunities in our community such as Hub Talks.

“Hub has a great community of members and a really vibrant atmosphere. I made some great connections with others in the travel space, and also got to properly connect with others I had seen around Melbourne before.

Throughout the course of the year I started to get to know those in my flexible workspace area, and it was cool to learn about their businesses and see them grow.”

Business successes in 2019

With such a diverse range of participating businesses, many have had a big 2019 full of successes and new milestones reached. We asked some of our Flexi Impact members to share their favourite wins from 2019

We successfully navigated into a new stage of our business without collapsing! Hub allowed us to have a regular and central location to run the organisation from while we got on our feet.

Transforming the world

The key behind the Flexi Impact is not just to help purpose-driven businesses grow and succeed, but also to help expand their positive impact on the world.

With participants like the Gomo Foundation securing new donations to put Zimbabwean girls through education, and Bicycles for Humanity working with a team in Namibia to help convert workshops to support solar powered e-bikes and ambulances, our 2019 cohort has succeeded in using this opportunity to help others.

“This year, Social Cycles has had quite a few wins. We’ve launched new tours in Mongolia and Colombia which has enabled travellers to meet and learn about new NGOs.

We’ve also managed to break the $50,000 mark in regards to donations! This money has been donated by previous riders to various NGOs along their adventures. The learning and understanding gained by face to face connections has empowered the riders to support programs they can see and connect to.”
