Accessibility at Hub North Adelaide

Hub North Adelaide is located across Levels 1 and 2 of 88 O’Connell Street, North Adelaide.

To help you plan your visit, we’ve provided the following information about accessibility at Hub North Adelaide, including parking, building access, lifts, toilet and shower facilities, and moving around the space.

Parking

  • There are 116 public car parking spaces available within the basement car park, with 2 hours of free parking.
  • 2 hours of free parking is also available for contractors and suppliers within the basement car park.
  • Secure bicycle storage is available on the basement level.

Loading Dock

There is a loading bay for the building on Basement Level 1 (B1), accessible via either Archer Street or Tynte Street.

Access to the car park and loading dock needs to be arranged in advance with Building Management.

Loading dock bookings:
Bookings can be made through the Property Maintenance Plus (PMP) caretaker via email at 88caretaker@pmp.net.au.

Entrance and Building Access

Visitors can access Hub during business hours, 8am–5pm.

Members with 24/7 access can enter via O’Connell Street or Centenary Street, using the four designated access routes shown on the building plan.

Members can access Levels 1 and 2 via the stairs or lifts.

The main Hub entrance and Welcome Desk are located on Level 1, North Entrance. Access to this entrance is available during business hours, from 8am–5pm.

After Hours

Members requiring after-hours access will need:

  • A base building access pass to enter through the secure gate on O’Connell Street; and
  • Salto access to enter Hub’s tenancy.

Members can exit the building without a pass. The Push to Exit buttons can be used to release doors and gates when leaving.

Access via the Car Park

If accessing the public car park on B1, no access pass is required.

If accessing the allocated parking spaces on B2, an access pass is required to pass through the boom gate.

From the car park, access the building via the car park lifts, highlighted in yellow on the building plan, to the Ground Floor. From there, visitors can use the stairs or lifts to access Levels 1 and 2.

Lifts

The passenger and goods lifts in the lobby and car park provide access to all levels of Hub. A base building access swipe card is required to access the passenger and goods lifts.

Passenger Lift K

  • Access: Ground Floor to Levels 1 and 2
  • Internal dimensions: 1,400W × 2,100L × 2,600H mm, excluding handrails
  • Clear door opening: 1,100W × 2,200H mm

Goods Lift H

  • Access: Basement to Levels 1 and 2
  • Internal dimensions: 2,050W × 3,000L × 2,600H mm, excluding handrails
  • Clear door opening: 1,700W × 2,200H mm

Toilet and Shower Facilities

Male, female and unisex bathrooms are located on Levels 1 and 2.

An End of Trip Facility is located on Level 1 and includes showers and change rooms.

Workstations and Desks

A range of standard workstations is available throughout the workspace on Levels 1 and 2.

Adjustable desks may be available in some offices upon request, although additional costs may apply.

The desks located in meeting rooms are not adjustable

Hearing Augmentation

Hearing augmentation is available in the two Services Meeting Rooms — Torrens Room and Park 29 — located on Level 1.

There is currently no hearing augmentation provision in the standard meeting rooms across Levels 1 and 2.

Access to Areas

All meeting rooms, member kitchens, member areas and the café are accessible.

The kitchen and tea points provide ample circulation space; however, there is currently no accessible under-bench space.
