The coworking sector has undergone rapid growth both internationally and locally in the past few years.
Hub Australia is excited to be collaborating with GCUC for the 2018 Global Coworking Unconference Conference in Sydney, where we’ll be bringing together coworking and flexible work thought leaders and industry experts to discuss trends, opportunities, and challenges within the sector.

In a nutshell, what is GCUC Australia?
The Global Coworking Unconference Conference Australia 2018 (GCUC 2018) is an educational and networking event for the coworking industry. This year, the event will be hosted in Sydney from the 15th to 17th August. The internationally promoted event will bring together over 250 coworking operators, industry leaders, start-ups, entrepreneurs, government members and suppliers to share knowledge, network and promote the coworking sector.
The event will feature international and national keynote speakers covering topics key to the current coworking market and the future of the sector.

In addition to the structured conference agenda, which includes local and international thought leaders, the third day of the event will be run in an ‘unconference format’. This creates an opportunity for attendees to submit topics they wish to discuss or delve further into for a vote. The most popular topics are then unpacked during an informal panel discussion from the conference speakers.
The addition of the unconference format to the event program creates an opportunity for conference attendees to voice topics or questions that are important for them, creating flexibility in the conference content to cover discussions that are important to people in the coworking industry.
GCUC Australia aims to bring together people involved with the coworking industry to collaborate, share best practice, acquire new knowledge and skills and network. Attendees will be able to create important industry connections and share resources and knowledge, that will in turn help grow and promote the coworking sector in Australia and also internationally.
GCUC Australia 2018 will help increase the commercial sustainability of the Australia coworking industry and share this new way to work with corporate, government and education sectors that are looking to adopt the coworking model.  The conference will also include tours of Sydney coworking spaces which will promote the diversity of Sydney’s coworking offering, educate people on the various types of coworking models and demonstrate the strengths of each space.
